New Book Prize
The International Federation for Research in Women's History has issued a call for applications for the Ida Blom-Karen Offen Book Prize in in Transnational Women's and Gender History.

  • To apply for the prize submit a short bio and an abstract that briefly summarises the book and explains its contribution to the field of transnational women's and gender history by 31 January 2020.

  • Semi-finalists will then be asked to send complete books (preferably digitally) by 1 March 2020.

  • Books may be in any language but the committee would appreciate if initial submission of bios and abstracts could be in English.

  • Works eligible should have a publication date of 2016 to 2019. Only monographs are eligible, but they may be co-authored.

  • Board Members and Officers of the International Federation for Research in Women's History are not eligible to apply.

  • The winner will be announced in August 2020. The winner will be awarded $1000 and a certificate.

  • Members of the Selection Committee: Vera Mackie, University of Wollongong (Chair), Eileen Boris, University of California, Santa Barbara (President of the International Federation for Research in Women's History), Manuela Martini, University of Lyon, Ann Catrin Östman, Abo Akademi University and Elisa Camiscioli, State University of New York, Binghamton.

  • The committee members are fluent in several languages but will call on expert readers for languages not covered by the committee.
